New Space

"Wait! Roxie, you have not apologized for your stealing yet. How can you just leave like that? Don't you care about your future?" The girl beside Gloria shouted.

Her name was Emily.

She had been Gloria's casual friend for a very long time. Roxie had always been possessive of people related to her. It was a bad trait but she couldn't help it.

Gloria had assured Roxie numerous times that she was the only best friend existing by her side. Now, the current situation was saying the exact opposite.

Roxie didn't care too much about it anymore. When Gloria showed her true colors, her obsession and possessiveness faded away.

Her mind had removed Gloria from the list that contained her blood siblings.

Roxie was friends with her for years. If Gloria could betray her best friend like that, the things she could do to Emily was unimaginable.

Thankfully, she was able to get rid of the scum early.

"Gloria, whether the design is yours or if the design are mine, you and I both know the truth. I am going to leave now and I dare anybody to stop me." Roxie spat.

She didn't have time to play pretend. She didn't want to humor their little tricks.

Emily didn't take Roxie's instructions to heart. Roxie started to move towards the door.

Emily suddenly ran over to the door. She used her body to block the way out. Roxie was really angry this time. Her eyes narrowed and the bloodthirsty aura that came from numerous brushes with death appeared in her pupils. Emily stiffened.

Roxie didn't give her enough time to react. She grabbed Emily's brown hair before pulling it backwards.

"Ah!" A scream dropped from Emily's lips.

Her hands clawed at Roxie's hand. Her struggles didn't amount to anything.

A red color started to multiply on Emily's face. Her eyes watered.

Finally, Roxie released her hand and Emily fell into a disgraceful heap on the floor.

"Roxie, how dare you?"

"Roxie, are you insane?"

"How can you harm a student of this university? You think this place is a playground?"

Similar questions kept coming from the panel of judges but Roxie didn't pay any attention to both the questions and the people that were asking them.

Gloria didn't say anything.

The thing that caused her silence was unknown.

She went out of the hall.

Roxie didn't waste any precious time. She left the design academy as a whole.

Roxie was an orphan that was sponsoring herself to the academy.

Designing jewelries was a passion but the money she would be able to make in the future was one of the reasons that convinced Roxie to pursue a career in jewelry design.

Now, that path was blocked. It was not like she had any use for the degree anymore though.

The salary from her two part-time jobs hadn't didn't arrived yet. Only a few dollars remained in her account.

The money in her bank account could only be used for cheap food, not something elaborate.

Roxie found an alley close to the school. There were fewer people around the alley.

Roxie brought her finger to her mouth before biting down powerfully.

Blood flowed away from the punctured wound. The blood dropped down from the top of her index finger. Roxie pressed the injured finger on the pebble that was hanging on her neck.

The pebble started to glow before disappearing. The moment the pebble disappeared, Roxie vanished too.

Roxie hadn't expected to disappear. In the past, she cannot teleport her physical body into the space. If she had been able to, she would not have died in the mouth of a feral monster.

In her past life, only her mind could enter the space. The surface area of the space was little too and it cannot house any objects that had life.

It was a pleasant surprise to see herself in a new area after activating her necklace.

Roxie looked around. There was a bright blue sky with fluffy white clouds in the space. The ground beneath the sky was just a huge expanse of brown soil.

Judging by the thick chocolate color, the nutrients in the soil was numerous.

A well was in one corner. A building made with brick and cement was near the well.

Poof!

Suddenly, another living being appeared in the quiet space.

It was a round and furry creature. Every surface of the creature was a pure white color.

Two big purple eyes was on the creature. It had tiny butterfly wings on its back. A tiny mouth was below the big eyes.

The creature might have limbs. The fluffy fur on the creature's body could hide a lot of things.

Roxie's fingers itched.

For a brief moment, she wanted to grab this creature before her and knead it into various shapes.

Ah! So cute!

Her caution made her stop that line of thoughts in its tracks though.

"Who are you?" She asked warily.

"I am the space." The creature replied.

The small mouth moved softly as it spoke.

Roxie didn't let her guard down yet.

She raised a brow, "How are you the space?"

"The space is me and I am also the space. Think of me as the living form of this space. You are my master. I had been with you since your past life." The creature answered.

Roxie's eyes narrowed.

Her fingers curled and some murderous intentions appeared in her heart.

This creature even possessed knowledge about her past life.

That was her biggest secret.

One person stumbling on the knowledge of her rebirth was already too many people knowing.

She didn't want to be attacked when her powers were still at its infancy.

The creature must have sensed her caution and murderous intentions.

"I am really the embodiment of this space. You can tell me to do anything in this space right now and I will do it. What I can do at this moment is actually limited though. I can tell you many details about your past life to prove myself too." The creature scrambled to speak.

The cute voice softened some of the murderous desire in Roxie's heart.

She calmed her mood, "Move this house to that other corner. Move the well along with it."

The purple eyes of the creature brightened, "Okay."

The joy in its voice could be clearly heard.

The creature didn't make any moves but the house on Roxie's left side started to move to the corner she pointed to with a fast speed.

Everything was seamless.

The creature was right.

She had no choice but to believe the words coming out of the creature's mouth.

It proved itself. Besides, she didn't feel any murderous intention from the cute creature.

As long as she wouldn't be harmed, Roxie was willing to coexist with the creature.

Since everything was clear now, Roxie wanted to give in to her evil desires for a while.

She walked over to the position the creature was in. The creature was flying in a low altitude.

Roxie's hands grabbed the creature.

Her fingers moved and she started to caress the body of the cutie in her hands softly.

She hugged the creature close to her body.

A light floral scent was coming from the creature. That scent was calming.

The creature didn't struggle.

The big purple eyes closed as sweet purrs escaped its small mouth.

Somehow, the stress of traveling back in time and going toe to toe with the apocalypse was lighter.
