Kuhina took a deep breath, a resolute gleam flashing in her eyes. She abruptly halted her steps and turned to face Watcher 09.
"Kuhina, what are you doing?!" Myouto exclaimed, but it was too late to stop her.
Kuhina raised her hands slowly, her fingers tracing through the air with the fluidity of flowing water. Her forefinger and thumb crossed, forming a gesture resembling a camera's framing motion. The gesture hung gracefully in the air, exuding an indescribable pressure. Her eyes were deep like a bottomless lake, and her low, commanding voice carried a sense of boundless authority:
"Data, alter!"
As her words fell, the air seemed to tear apart, and a faint ripple spread from her gesture. Reality itself bent, as though yielding to her command.
Watcher 09 swung his massive scythe high, its blade slicing through the air with a chilling gleam, aimed at the trees blocking his way. Yet in the next moment, an unexpected anomaly occurred! Instead of cleaving through the wood, the blade emitted a sharp cracking sound, shattering like fragile glass.
Countless sharp fragments scattered through the air, their dazzling light reflecting like falling stars. Each shard seemed to carry immense energy, humming faintly as they tore through the atmosphere. The scythe's remnants clattered to the ground, its once-mighty form reduced to a pile of cold fragments—strange and absurd.
Kuhina's face paled slightly, but her eyes remained steadfast with determination. She turned to the others and shouted, "Run! Don't worry about me!"
But Touto stood his ground. He grabbed his guitar and strummed its strings, unleashing a melody that reverberated with earth-shaking power.
"Boom—"
Touto's hands danced over the guitar, fingers moving at lightning speed across the strings, conjuring a thunderous harmony. The music roared like thunder, sending invisible shockwaves hurtling toward Watcher 09.
Wherever the sound waves passed, the air trembled, as though the very fabric of space was tearing apart. Watcher 09 let out a shrill scream, only to have it drowned out by the soundwaves, his ghostly wails abruptly silenced. His body quivered violently before curling inward, as if seized by an unseen force. He writhed in pain, his struggles futile.
Suspended in midair, the once-dominant Watcher now appeared rigid and immobile, a heavy weight pressing on him. His frozen stance betrayed his inner shock; his eyes glimmered with astonishment and incomprehension—a direct counterattack had managed to inflict him with an unimaginable threat.
"This child..." he muttered in disbelief, "can actually... attack my soul directly?"
Kuhina panted heavily, glancing at Touto. "Thank you."
Touto continued to strum his guitar, muttering under his breath, "Annoying pest... won't leave us alone..."
Watcher 09 glared at them, thoughts swirling in his mind: These powers... absolutely cheats... and there are too many of them. If I don't end this now, the consequences will be catastrophic.
From a distance, Watcher 10's roar tore through the air, resonating like thunder: "Losing to these brats? Impossible!"
His eerie, bulging eyes flared with wild fury, and his slime-coated body trembled, brimming with uncontrollable energy. His rage was not just fury but the primal response of a wounded beast. His gaze, filled with extreme madness and obsession, promised to obliterate everything before him.
Standing nearby, Shina observed him with a calm and detached expression. She tilted her head slightly, her eyes scrutinizing Watcher 10 like a subject under study.
She whispered softly and touched a tree beside her, "Twin Attraction."
Light patterns appeared on the tree, creating a spatial link between two trees. Watcher 10's body was forcibly stretched, with his limbs locked in place between the trees as though caught in an invisible bowstring. He struggled fiercely, but to no avail.
"What... what is this witchcraft?!" Watcher 10 roared, releasing sharp, corrosive threads to cut the binding force. Yet, the threads only looped back to him, forming a bizarre feedback loop.
Shina's lips curved slightly upward. "No matter how strong the power, without understanding the rules, it's just brute force."
Enraged, Watcher 10 bellowed. Dark smoke erupted around him, corrosive energy eating away at the surrounding leaves and earth. Shina remained unfazed, her calm gaze unbroken. She uttered a single word: "Release."
The light patterns vanished. Watcher 10's body was flung away like a missile, crashing into a massive rock, shattering it instantly. The impact sent him ricocheting through trees before slamming into the ground, kicking up a cloud of dust.
"Cough... cough..." Watcher 10 crawled out of the debris, battered and furious. Shock filled his bulging eyes as he muttered curses under his breath. "Damn it... are these really just kids?!"
Shina withdrew her hand, her expression cool. "With your power, you could do something meaningful." She turned to her companions and added, "It's your turn now."
Gen immediately stepped forward, eyes ablaze with determination. "Shina, that move was incredible. But I won't let you hog all the spotlight!" he said, his weapon glowing with intricate patterns.
The tension heightened as Watcher 09 darted toward Gen with ghostly speed. The oppressive atmosphere froze everyone in place, breaths held.
Gen smirked, his eyes gleaming with mischief. "Oh, you're in for a surprise!" He raised his arm, its surface morphing into a black-and-white mechanical pattern etched with intricate key-like designs.
With a click, Gen activated it, summoning a swirling rift of purple and gold. Watcher 09 had no time to react as he was sucked into the chasm.
"Enjoy your stay! Bye-bye!" Gen quipped, sealing the rift with a snap. The room fell silent, save for the distant rumble of approaching threats.
