Looking into Hayato's eyes, Rinro felt an inexplicable chill. He realized that he was not facing a mere madman but a terrifying enemy whose intelligence and insanity were intertwined.
"Even so, I must kill you!!!" Rinro growled, his aura surging explosively. The grassy slope beneath his feet shattered instantly, and sharp glacial spikes burst from the ground like blades, piercing toward the sky.
Without hesitation, Hayato leaped into the air, weaving through the ice spikes with agility. The twin blades in his hands flashed with cold light as he slashed apart the incoming ice shards. His movements were swift and precise, as if he had already calculated the trajectory of Rinro's attacks in advance.
Rinro roared and charged toward Hayato, the shattered ice sweeping outward like a storm. Hayato swung his twin blades, shattering the ice, but the sheer intensity and impact of the assault made him struggle slightly. Seizing the opportunity, Rinro delivered a powerful punch, sending Hayato flying. He tumbled like a broken kite, his blood scattering through the air.
Hayato crashed to the ground, blood continuously trickling from the corner of his mouth. Yet, just as Rinro prepared to pursue him, Hayato twisted his body in an unnatural manner, emitting a sickening sound of bones cracking. He forcibly adjusted his posture mid-air and, without hesitation, thrust his blade toward Rinro's left eye.
"RAAAAHHHH!!!" Rinro clutched his bleeding left eye, letting out a furious roar of pain. He had never encountered such a ruthless opponent. Even when facing death, Hayato cared nothing for his own injuries—his only goal was to leave a fatal mark on his enemy.
"Is he insane?!" Rinro gritted his teeth, fury and fear intertwining within him. He could not comprehend how a mere human could push himself to such extremes.
But Hayato gave him no time to think. He lunged at Rinro again, his movements as unpredictable and relentless as a violent storm. Every attack targeted Rinro's vital points with unnerving precision. Even if they only grazed him, Rinro could feel his body weakening. His blood flowed unnaturally fast, as if it were boiling inside him, threatening to explode at any moment.
"Damn it!!" Rinro roared, attempting to trigger his dragon transformation. However, the moment he gathered his power, his body convulsed violently, and a mouthful of blood sprayed from his lips. His eyes widened in shock—his blood had completely lost control. If he continued, the strain of half-dragonization would crush him from within.
"This can't be..." Rinro panted heavily, his gaze locked onto Hayato. He searched desperately for an answer, but the more he thought about it, the deeper his despair grew. He was being pushed into a corner—not by a monster, not by an elite warrior, but by a mere human.
"Hayato..." Rinro growled, calling his opponent's name. His voice was laced with rage—and a trace of deep-seated fear.
Hayato halted, lifting his gaze to meet Rinro's. A cold smirk curled at his lips. "What's wrong? Weren't you going to kill me?"
His voice was hoarse but filled with mockery, igniting an even greater fury within Rinro's chest. Yet, to his horror, his body no longer obeyed him. Even lifting his arm felt like an impossible task.
"What did you do to me?!" Rinro bellowed, attempting to charge forward. However, his legs felt like they were filled with lead, each step heavier than the last. His inner rage burned fiercely, but it could not fight against his failing body.
Hayato slowly raised his twin blades, his voice icy. "What did I do? Simple—I'm going to kill you."
Rinro roared in defiance, manipulating ice tendrils that lashed toward Hayato like frost-bound dragons. The blizzard-like attack swept across the battlefield. But Hayato moved like a specter, darting between the freezing tendrils with unnatural grace. His footwork was erratic yet precise, his figure unpredictable. As soon as he found an opening, he dashed forward, unleashing a relentless barrage of slashes aimed at Rinro's weakest points.
"You want to die?!" Rinro growled, throwing a punch infused with frost energy, sending shards of ice flying. Hayato dodged swiftly, slipping past the attack with a deadly elegance. His strikes never ceased, his eyes burning with the madness of a predator chasing its prey.
Rinro knew he could not let this battle drag on. Summoning all his strength, he began gathering his ice energy, forming a powerful finishing move. A chilling aura radiated from his body, freezing the air itself. The temperature plummeted as ice rapidly grew around him. He would end this in one decisive blow!
But as he accumulated power, his blood boiled even more violently. His chest throbbed with searing pain. Blood trickled from the corner of his lips, yet he pressed on, refusing to falter.
At that moment, Hayato hurled his twin blades. The glimmering steel sliced through the air, streaking straight toward Rinro. But Rinro sneered. "You think you can stop me? Impossible!"
He directed his ice tendrils to intercept Hayato, frost creeping toward him. The ice licked at Hayato's face, freezing his skin solid. Without hesitation, he slashed at his own ear, severing it to escape the frost's grip. Blood splattered, yet he did not flinch.
Rinro was momentarily stunned. His eyes flicked toward the thrown blades, then back to Hayato, who had effortlessly caught them again, as if they were extensions of his own body. Each throw and retrieval had a purpose—even his self-mutilation had been calculated.
"What is this lunatic doing?" Rinro frowned, but he quickly dismissed the thought, focusing entirely on his ultimate attack.
Hayato sprinted toward him once more, his twin blades slicing relentlessly at Rinro's dragon-like claws. Rinro clenched his teeth, enduring the strikes while preparing his final move. But in that moment, Hayato smirked—his hands moved in an eerie, deliberate gesture, fingers forming a cryptic pattern.
Rinro ignored it. His attack was ready. With a mighty roar, he released his devastating ice burst, launching it straight at Hayato. "DIE!!!"
But as the frozen energy exploded forth, Rinro's body suddenly seized up. He froze—not from his own ice—but from something far deadlier.
Looking down, he saw it: steel wires, wrapped tightly around his limbs and neck. His eyes widened in horror as he realized they were connected to the passing trains on both sides of the battlefield.
"No... Impossible..." Rinro gasped, struggling desperately. But his blood, his failing body, and the tightening wires made escape impossible.
His roar of defiance echoed through the night as the trains surged forward, the steel wires pulling tighter and tighter.
From a distance, Hayato watched, his smirk widening into a cruel grin. "This... is the price for hurting Usagi. Repent in hell."
