Chapter 100 Had Betty had a change of heart? Part2

When Michael arrived at Betty's door, he hesitated for a long time but finally knocked softly, perhaps knowing that Betty wasn't asleep.

After knocking a few times without any response, Michael knocked again, but still no sound came from inside.

Eventually, he placed his hand on the doorknob, only to find the door was locked from the inside.

This scene felt eerily familiar; there had been a time when Betty had knocked on Michael's door only to be turned away.

Now, the roles were reversed.

Michael wasn't worried that Betty might harm herself over this; it wasn't a matter serious enough to warrant such drastic measures.

Yet, fear and disappointment filled his eyes as he realized the gravity of the situation he had created.

Upon discovering the door was locked, Michael knocked again, this time with more force.

The sound echoed through the house, but all that came back were the sounds of Betty shifting in bed and the creak of the mattress.
