Theo ran at full speed around Belial, throwing one of his swords at her. The weapon spun in the air, cutting through the wind with force. Belial, with a quick and precise movement, deflected the sword with one of his energy circles, diverting it away from its trajectory. But Theo was already prepared, taking advantage of the moment to launch several slashes from his rear position, looking to attack Belial by surprise.
"You think you can catch me off guard?" Belial said with a confident smile, spinning around quickly. He extended his hand and, with an elegant gesture, created more energy circles, catching Theo's cuts and making them disappear.
Theo watched her movements closely. Belial had to use his hands to activate his ability, and furthermore, he seemed to need to aim at a target. The circles coming out of her hands were not just defensive barriers; they were like a kind of "personal world" that she could manipulate at will. Anything trapped within those circles could be transformed or destroyed at her will.
Belial, with a determined look, pointed at Theo again. This time, his circles were no longer mere barriers, but had transformed into something far more dangerous. Dark as the void, the circles began to spin with devastating force.
"These black holes will devour everything in their path," Belial warned, with a malicious smile.
Theo didn't have time to stop and think. The black circles began to destroy the terrain, devouring the hills and anything in their path, reducing everything to nothing. Theo knew that if he wanted to defeat her, he couldn't let those circles touch him.
With a strategy in mind, Theo decided to risk it all. He took his sword and, with one swift movement, cut off nine of his fingers . From the wounds, flowing with dark energy, emerged nine clones of himself , each identical to the original. As the clones formed, the two swords Theo wielded split into ten rapiers, divided between him and his copies.
"Nine copies? Wow, this is going to be interesting," Belial said with a mix of surprise and excitement in his voice, looking at the clones that had materialized around him.
The ten Theos , each armed with a rapier, spread out in all directions, forming a deadly web around Belial. They all moved with precision, perfectly coordinated to attack from various angles. The battle had turned, and Theo was determined to prove that he could meet Belial's power with strategy and cunning.
As the ten Theos scattered, Belial watched them with curiosity and caution. Theo, at that moment, was silently pondering his next move.
"The power of the double sword..." he thought as he watched each clone take position. "...is much more than just splitting my weapon. It is a power that allows me to empower my wielder. Normally, if I were to split myself into clones, I would have to split my power between them, meaning each one would only be a fraction of my original strength."
Theo looked at his two swords, each now transformed into multiple rapiers, divided between him and his nine clones.
"But with the double sword, the situation changes completely." A small smile formed on her lips as she continued to run circles around Belial. "Each clone receives 10% of my power, yes... but the real advantage is that, thanks to the ability of this sword, that 10% is boosted until it reaches 100%."
Theo's eyes flashed with determination. "That means every clone is as strong as me... and I also retain 100% of my original strength."
Belial, who had been confident in her control over the battle until now, frowned as she felt Theo's energy multiply around her. Her energy circles continued to spin, ready to destroy everything in their path, but something had changed on the battlefield. Theo's confidence had put her on alert.
"You're not just multiplying, are you?" Belial said, with a mix of suspicion and wonder. Theo didn't respond. Instead, his clones moved forward, and with each step, the tension in the air became palpable.
"With all of us at 100%, this battle is far from decided." Theo adjusted his stance, preparing for the final attack.
The ten Theos advanced in perfect synchronization, each with a rapier in hand, surrounding Belial in a deadly web of attacks.
"I'm not trying to manipulate you," Theo said finally, calmly but firmly. "I'm just showing you that underestimating me was your mistake."
Belial, still with his dark circles spinning, couldn't help but let out a nervous laugh. He now understood that this battle wouldn't be as easy as he had imagined.
Belial, exasperated by Theo's multiplication and his ability to stand, decided to take a more drastic measure. With a firm gesture, she pointed at the ground, and a huge circle of dark energy formed, expanding until it covered the entire battlefield. Theo and his clones were trapped within this vast zone of power, while Belial smiled a smile of victory.
"Now," he said, his voice full of resolve, "it's time for this to end."
The circles around him began to spin rapidly, trying to compress each of Theo's clones. However, just before Belial could crush them, he noticed something unusual: a barrier made of fine threads covered each of Theo's clones, preventing the compression power from touching them directly.
Belial frowned, watching as his attacks were redirected. Seeing the air behind the clones distort with energy, he understood what was happening.
"So you distribute my attacks towards the rear…" Belial said in amazement. "You are more cunning than you appear, rider."
Theo wasted no time. From all ten directions, his clones released blasts of magma that surged toward Belial like a hellish storm. The heat was stifling, and waves of energy crackled around them. However, Belial reacted coldly. With a quick gesture, he cooled the magma, solidifying it into obsidian before it could reach her.
"Not enough," Belial muttered, keeping control as he scanned the area. But when he tried to locate Theo's clones, they were no longer visible.
Suddenly, Theo's clones appeared again, but this time, each of them held chains that transformed into shackles. With impeccable timing, they threw the shackles towards Belial, trapping her from all sides.
"You will not escape this!" Theo said firmly, as the chains clamped down on Belial.
But Belial, with his power still active, broke the shackles with ease.
"You forget that you are still within my circle," he said with a triumphant laugh. "Here, I have absolute control."
Theo frowned. He knew that as long as she remained within his circle of power, he would have the advantage. He had to get her out of there if he wanted to defeat her. As he thought of his next move, one of his clones disappeared underground, moving quickly and preparing for his final plan.
Suddenly, that Theo emerged from the ground with his feet transformed into rockets of flaming energy. In a bold move, he lunged at Belial, enveloping her in a fiery embrace. Before she could react, the rockets' momentum launched her out of her own circle, tearing her from her zone of power.
"This is for underestimating me!" Theo shouted as he punched Belial, sending her to the ground with a devastating impact.
Belial fell to the ground, rolling from the force of the blow, surprised by Theo's maneuver. The dark circle that protected her dissipated, and she was now out of her element, vulnerable to the next attack.
"Now we'll see who's really in control," Theo said, as all his clones surrounded him, ready to end the battle.
Theo watched the chaos around him as Belial, cornered and driven mad by rage, launched indiscriminate attacks, destroying the ground beneath her feet. Each burst of energy disintegrated trees, rocks, and entire hills. He knew he had to act quickly before it became impossible to stop her.
Taking a deep breath, Theo concentrated his power. His rapier lengthened, transforming into shackles with a glowing chain. With a precise movement, he threw the shackles towards Belial, who was busy launching a new devastating attack. The chains flew through the air, wrapping around Belial's wrists, trapping her completely. The impact took her by surprise.
"What the...?" Belial screamed, glaring at his now immobilized hands.
Theo stepped forward, calm but firm, his gaze fixed on hers.
"You don't have to do this anymore," Theo said, his voice clear but not intended to hurt. "I don't want to fight anymore. You've caused enough destruction already."
Belial tried to break free, pulling at the chains in frustration. The dark marks on his hands lit up, trying to use his magic to break them, but the chains tightened even more.
"Let me go!" she cried, agitated. "You're not going to stop me with these simple chains!"
Theo stood his ground, not moving, not making a threatening gesture. His voice remained calm, as if he wanted to make her understand that violence was not the only option.
"Belial, look at yourself," Theo insisted. "This isn't going to get you anywhere. You're destroying everything around you, but you're not going to get what you want this way."
Belial looked at him, his expression changing from rage to disbelief.
"What do you know?" he growled, through gritted teeth. "You don't understand anything! This war, all of this, is all I have left!"
Theo looked down for a moment, feeling the weight of her words. Then he looked back at her, this time with genuine compassion.
—I understand more than you think. But if you continue like this, you will lose even what you think you still have.
Belial glared at him, but her hands were still trapped. Despite her attempts to release her power, something inside her wavered.
—You... You're just trying to manipulate me! —he screamed, in desperation.
Theo shook his head.
—It's not manipulation. It's a reality that you're denying. I don't want to fight you, I don't want to destroy you. But if you don't stop, I'll be forced to.
Belial pulled one last time, but the chains would not budge. Finally, exhausted and without any more strength, she let her shoulders slump, breathing heavily.
"No…" she whispered, her voice cracking. "It can't end like this…"
Theo moved a little closer, still remaining calm.
Theo watched as Belial finally lowered her head, exhausted, trapped in her own emotions and the chains that held her in check. The fury in her eyes was beginning to fade, replaced by a deep exhaustion, both physical and emotional. Theo knew he couldn't allow her to continue her destructive path, but he also understood that she had suffered too much.
"I'm sorry," he thought as he adjusted his posture.
"This ends now, Belial," he murmured, his tone firm and determined.
With a swift movement, Theo ran towards her, the chain of his shackles still attached to his hands. With lightning speed, he leapt towards her and launched his power-wrapped fist straight at her face.
"Theo, no!" Belial screamed, trying to resist, but the blow was unstoppable.
The impact echoed across the battlefield, and Belial, already exhausted and weakened, instantly lost consciousness. Her body went limp, falling to the ground softly, as if her very energy had completely vanished.
Theo landed softly, looking down at Belial's unconscious body. He knew he had made the right decision; stopping her without causing fatal damage was the right thing to do.
"It's best for everyone," he said quietly, his eyes reflecting a mixture of sadness and resolution.
He undid the chains of his shackles, letting them disappear into the air, and took a moment to catch his breath. He knew this wasn't over, that there were still important decisions to be made about Belial and what they would do with her. But for now, the battlefield was calm.
Theo took one last look around before hoisting Belial's unconscious body over his shoulder.
