The final day at St. Pius was supposed to be a flurry of farewells and fleeting goodbyes, but for Adeze, it was the last chance to put everything on the line. After the exchange she witnessed Jide And Christine having, she had left them behind, knowing that they'll be off to the date she painstakingly planned for Jide again she knew she could have Sean to her self at Chime's today. Her heart pounding with a mixture of dread and resolve. She needed to find Sean.
She caught him near the school gym, surrounded by his usual crowd of volleyball teammates. His tall frame loomed over the others, his easy smile lighting up the group like he didn’t have a care in the world. For Adeze, he was perfection wrapped in a storm of frustration, longing, and unreciprocated feelings.
“Sean,” she called, stepping forward. Her voice carried a hint of urgency that made him glance her way, his grin faltering slightly.
