The oldest spirit within the group moved toward Jace. His immense age appeared through his robes that drifted gently like mist. “You seek to sever the bond that marks you,” the elder said, his voice low, ageless. Jace desires to live as a human being without his spiritual form. What does that commitment truly entail? 


Jace lifted his gaze. He showed no signs of fear through his gaze. Only pain. Only love.
