Never Wrong

Artemis POV

I search myself for any blood and realize that I was not the one that was shot, I close my eyes saying a silent prayer before I shoot them up to see the person that was lying helplessly on the floor.

"perfect shot Damian, but also where the fuck where you?" I asked, snapping my head towards him, a mix of anger and happiness flooded through me.

"I had to reach out to Mr Aiden and I needed back up before I could attack"

"Well next time, which I hope there shouldn't be, how about you react a little quicker, I was scared for my life"

"I'm sorry ma'am"

The man on the floor grunts, the bullet pierced the side of his chest, inches away from his heart.

"I'll handle him and get him to speak," Damian said, dragging the guy off the floor who was screaming in pain.

"Damian, is the house clear?" I yell too scared to leave the room.

"Extremely ma'am, don't worry, your safe" he yells back assuring me
