"Aiden, you can't decide to shut me out again"

I turn to her, my palms on her face, and my head resting against hers "This time around Artemis, I'm not shutting you out, I really am protecting you from all these family chaos, I want it done. Once and for all"

"Aiden, we are married now, I am part of that family chaos, so I want to be put in all of it"

"What about Elara?" I ask, starting at Elara who was playing with a plushie.

"This is all to protect her when she grows older Aiden, you trusted me with Kane and see how far we came with that" she smiled

"I'm sorry Artemis, I can't let you come along"
