Prologue

"I swear this was the path..." His father muttered as the car slowly moved through the increasingly unfamiliar road.

"Oh sure, I know you have a great sense of direction, darling." His mother said with a playful wink.

Raorka himself was too busy poring over the map, trying to retrace their path, in the backseat to pay more than cursory attention to the conversation. He was inclined to agree with his father.

This does look like the correct path.

But it was clear to all of them that it wasn't. They had come to Mulberry Village a lot of times over the years and never before had they gone through such a mountainous path before.

"I'm telling you Zoe, this is the path, or atleast the direction we always follow. I don't know....." His father said again, driving extremely cautiously now through the snaky road.

"Hmm, maybe we took a wrong turn somewhere before. But anyway we should reach Mulberry after going down whatever hill we have climbed up." His mother said. She was always the cool and calm one in the family. As a matter of fact Raorka had never seen her get flustered or angry or panic in any situation.

"Yeah dad according to the map we should be around 10km from Mulberry from this path."

His father nodded, still having a confused look on his face.

"Yeah who knows, maybe we have discovered...."

He was never able to finish that sentence, for at that moment Raorka felt a tremendous force throw the car sideways and then it all went dark.

.....

Floating.

Where was he floating?

No clue.

Blue light from somewhere.

From where?

A voice in his head.

Do you want to live?

What kind of question is that?

Of course.

Then I shall grant you life once more. On one condition.

What condition?

Save us.

Who are you?

Save us.

How can I save that which I don't know?

Save us.

Only one answer seems to satisfy this being.

I will.

Thus the contract is made. I shall grant you the power of water.

Where are my mom and dad?

You'll find them where you are going.

Reunite.

Save us.

You are the only one who can.
