A Painful Confession

He was practicing the piano, and she sat quietly beside him.

The gentle piano melody drifted through the vast room.

When he finished playing, she was still absorbed in the enchanting music.

"What are you daydreaming about here?"

It wasn't until he stood before her that she returned to reality, "I wasn't daydreaming, just lost in the music."

He sat beside her, wrapping an arm around her waist, "Rachel, do you know what my mom and I discussed today?"

Curious, she looked at him, "Hmm?"

His handsome face was lit with an elegant smile, his dark eyes bright, "Mom said we should get married once you graduate."

She blushed, "Who said I want to marry you!"

He chuckled, "Isn't that what you want?"

She playfully punched his chest, "You're annoying..."

He kissed her forehead gently, "I hope you'll give me a daughter someday."

Her blush deepened as she gazed at his usual, composed face, "You like daughters?"
