A Chance Meeting

When the apartment door swung open, Rachel hadn't even taken out her keys. "Sis!"

Seeing her sister's cheerful face, Rachel handed over her briefcase while slipping off her shoes. "What's with the smile?"

Diana quickly pulled Rachel to the sofa, teasing, "I saw from the window—Mr. Franklin drove you home. It was so thoughtful of him to personally drop off his employees."

Exhausted from a day of work, Rachel leaned back on the sofa. "Don't overthink it. Mr. Franklin returned from a business trip and passed by the office."

"Sure, he was eager to see you as soon as he returned..." Diana teased in a sing-song voice.

Rachel shot her sister a look. "Where's Jackson?"

"He's waiting for you to tell him a story. He says Auntie's stories aren't as good as Mommy's and insisted on waiting for you to tuck him in!" Diana complained. "Even though I read the same storybooks with more emotion, he still thinks yours are better. A mother's love, I suppose!"
