Quiet Rebellion

Taurus spent his time exercising, meditating, playing with Squeaky, and messing with his prisoner over the three days he took as a break from his skill training.

He spent some of his time reading history books and refreshing his knowledge about the empire and continent.

His parents considered putting him under some early weapon training due to frequent incidents regarding Abyssum.

As for their suspicion about his involvement, it certainly subdued. Yet, he couldn't just sit there leaving it unhandled, since it was still there.

His spirit could shapeshift and alter its form to whatever it wanted.

As a result, he chose to pick up a new form for his secret operations. Their plan to bring his uncle Chris for training made him delay his plans to deal with Abyssum.

Either way, he saw it as a perfect chance to make his dissatisfaction with swords clear to them.

"Sweetie, your uncle is on the way and I want you to keep your awakening a secret for now, is it alright?" Alexandra asked, her tone hinting it was a request rather than an order.

"Why, Mama?" Taurus tilted his head, curiously asking back.

"Because I want to surprise him, so do me a favor and embarrass him by beating him up!" Alexandra spoke and Taurus almost burst out laughing internally.

He didn't understand or know why she wanted him to do such a thing but he didn't intend on complying at all.

"But Mama, can I get a different weapon if I win?" Taurus nodded his head before speaking up, the direction of his intention toward the Golden Mane Axe.

"But why? You already know that swords are the easiest to learn."

"No, swords are too small," Taurus spoke with a grumble before pausing for a second to explain himself to his mother.

"I have a very big stat and I want a big weapon too!"

"I see, I will talk with your father once he's back and we will consider it." Taurus nodded his head vigorously upon hearing his words.

Although it wasn't a direction confirmation, he planned to use his uncle to help him progress things faster.

Once he was left alone, Taurus looked at his status to figure out his next course of action.

'Perhaps I should begin creating Mana Stones.' Taurus thought he could easily create about 12 Medium-Quality every other day and although it was slow, it naturally allowed him to have his own pocket money.

In the worst-case scenario, most would be used to recharge his mana in times of need and the rest could be easily sold for a hefty amount of coins.

Taurus soon brought out his inventory tap, before nodding his head a few moments later.

{Inventory — 5/100}

—Book of Knowledge [4]

—195x Mana Stone (Medium-Quality)

'I could sell some already, given I have too much. But, questions would be annoying to deal with.' Taurus shook his head a few minutes later, giving up on his current idea.

'I could do it later or use Tenebirus as a fake identity, but for now, it's unnecessary.' Taurus stood up as the knocking sound reached his ears.

"Uncle Chris?!" Taurus shouted, rushing to the door, and beating his mother and the maids.

He jumped up, gripping the door's handle before spinning it and pulling it back using his weight, surprising his uncle with his actions.

Chris Eastel was nearing 25 by now, he had a handsome face with two sharp blue eyes and golden hair, matching his sister's.

He wore a long black coat with a scarf around his neck, and a long pair of pants covered his legs, reaching down to the long black shoes he wore.

'Wow, I see.' Chris thought before lifting his nephew, understanding why his parents permitted teaching the child this early.

"Who's the best boy, huh?!" Chris pinched Taurus' cheek as he shouted "Me!" excitedly while Chris stepped inside.

"How was your journey, brother?" Alexandra appeared a minute later after the maids greeted Chris, before returning to their work.

"It was fine, the roads were as safe as always," Chirs spoke, considering their dukedom was a little from the city.

"Uncleeeeee!!! Can I see your status?" Taurus shouted, bringing Chris' attention as the prompt appeared before his face.

"Wha—how?" Chris stood frozen, stunned by the sudden reveal.

"When and why was Taru awakened, sister?!" Chris shook his head a few moments later and finally asked while Alexandra was laughing loudly upon witnessing his reaction.

She didn't care much about the fact that Taurus ignored her request and did whatever came to his mind, the surprise her brother experienced was enough for her.

"My child was born fully awakened, it was inevitable! It was only a matter of time before we all just knew it was meant to be!"

Chris stared at her with a poker face, her words and her statement seeming nothing but delusional boasting to him.

"Alright alright, he was awakened the last month."

"That's more believable, but why?"

"Hmmm, a friend recommended an early awakening since he's a little strange like you see." Chris wondered whom she meant since Mammot's existence was unknown to him.

His thoughts were pushed aside a few moments later, as Taurus bugged him to see his status.

"Uncle, please let me see your status!" "Fine, but will show me yours as well?" Chris nodded his head as his status appeared before Taurus a second later.

"Uncle Chris, are you slacking?" Taurus asked curiously before permitting Chris to see his status.

"Me? I'm just enjoying my life."

"Wha—how are you level 28 already?!!!" Chris asked, deeply shocked by the second revelation.

"It increases on its own!" Taurus felt excited before proceeding to boast how special he was.

Being awakened at seven was something, but being level 28 was completely something else.

"36 Stars?! How many properties do you have?!" Never mind his level, this evaluation was only possible if someone was extremely gifted.

"Three! All of them are three S, but do you want to meet my best friend, uncle?!" Taurus spoke, referring to Tenebirus Noctis.

"Ah, Sure..." Chris responded while trying to calm himself down, and a few seconds later he shook his head before continuing.

"But how about we start training first?"
