Chapter 67: The Rising Storm

The radio crackled again, cutting through the gunfire and the roar of explosions.

"Delta-7, we have visual on your position. Hold tight."

Emily's grip tightened around her rifle. The weight of exhaustion pressed against her bones, but she couldn't afford to slow down now.

Shadows flickered at the ravine's entrance—dark figures moving fast between the trees.

The hunters were closing in, their formation tightening like a noose.

Theo crouched low beside her, sweat glistening on his forehead. "How fast can they get here?"

Damien didn't answer. His eyes were locked on the tree line, his expression carved from stone.

Then, the first explosion hit.

A thunderous boom tore through the forest, sending shockwaves through the ground.

The blast ripped apart a section of trees, throwing dirt and debris into the air.

The hunters hesitated, momentarily thrown off balance, and that's when the gunfire started.
