She waited for the cart to stop, and pecked him on the lips before they jumped down from it "a hundred bronze is one silver, a hundred silver is one gold" she told him as she threw their fare for the cart owner to catch and waved him goodbye a smile on her face as she disappeared into the crowd. He raised his hands to wave but she was already long gone.
He walked amongst the crowd that went by, his mind in turmoil too much to get into any carriage. "Hey watch where you are going" a man shouted at him angrily, "sorry" he muttered and walked on, noticing he had been walking for hours, and the sky and surroundings had darkened. He took a left turn, too lost to care, and too confused to ask about his whereabouts.
Emma had hidden among the crowd, following him as he made his way to ensure he reached wherever he would safley, she watched as he hopelessly made his way within the crowd, 'he is lost in thought again' she thought, a wistful smile on her face as she followed him some paces behind. "Yue" she paused watching as his back view vanished from her sight. She took a lonely route and stood there waiting as two hooded figures approached "how long has it been, Elise" she asked without looking back. They took of their hoods and revealed their faces, they both sported short hair, Elise's being brown, and the other lady black, their pointed brows, fox eyes, and perpetual frowns giving them wicked but beautiful looks. "The lady, your aunt requested that you come with us quietly. Lady Myrna" Elise said looking pointedly at Emma as she slowly turned around. She wanted to fight them off, but somehow she knew she had no chance. " the lady says silgrey is doing quite beautifully" it was a threat, one she knew her aunt would execute wonderfully. She raised her hands in surrender, she had no other choice than going with them. She watched as they held onto her hands. They all vanished from the deserted road, leaving no trace behind.
Yue went from door to door asking for where he could find a place, with food and board available, as it was nighttime already. "No room, go down" he had heard for the eighteenth time. The deeper he went, the wider the spacing between houses became, with grasses and trees taking most of the space, the entire place eerie. He heard something move in the nearby bush, a wail breaking forth, causing the other noises to quiet down for a while. He walked towards where the wail came from, and found a frail looking child wrapped in a dirty cloth, and left among garbage. He searched the surroundings, but found no one around the vicinity. He picked the child up, and it stopped wailing, its tiny face a picture of confusion. He laid the child down where he was sure it would be easily found by daytime, but it wailed again, increasing its tempo the farther away he went from it. He turned back, walking over to the child "quiet" he said placing his finger on his lip, he had seen the mother do it for her baby. The baby gurgled, its wails quieting down. He turned to leave again but picked the child up immediately it began wailing. He sighed in dejection wandering aimlessly down the street.
