After failing to become a Tama-Artist, a group of people who wield Rei to control mystical jewels known as Tama, Lucien "Lucy" bitterly lost his mother to the "kyuketsuki" left in her by his father. He planned to seek revenge against those who made his mother's life a living hell. 

However, an unfortunate incident led to his death, and he ended up in the first Yōkai no Mon theater, where he gained power at a terrible cost. 

Lucy's actions become increasingly malevolent, but the unexpected news of his long-lost daughter forces Lucy to reexamine his actions. 

In a world where those with the Nana no Tsumi bodies, and reijuus are craved for, will Lucien's actions affect those around him, and hopefully find his salvation?

The Kozanami District, normally bustling with people, was eerily deserted due to the ongoing Civil War. Most residents were deployed to the Katsuragi clan's main branches, in preparation for the upcoming battle.

Lucien and Shoji navigated the empty streets, entering an expensive restaurant where a single bowl of ramen cost one golden Kojin note.

Despite the exorbitant price, they paid for a lavish meal. The two didn't know how to cook like the three girls of Yurei and had been living on Sumire's cooking for the past few days, whose skills were only so-so.

After paying, they left, deciding not to draw attention to themselves. They planned to steal horses to reach their destination on time, but every horse had been sent to the Katsuragi Main branch to assist in the war.

So, in the end, they could only walk.
