After failing to become a Tama-Artist, a group of people who wield Rei to control mystical jewels known as Tama, Lucien "Lucy" bitterly lost his mother to the "kyuketsuki" left in her by his father. He planned to seek revenge against those who made his mother's life a living hell. 

However, an unfortunate incident led to his death, and he ended up in the first Yōkai no Mon theater, where he gained power at a terrible cost.

It had been eighty years since a vibrant six-year-old boy awakened his primordial space within the Katsuragi clan. The awakening of a primordial space without the help of the Faith Tama was rare, only happening once or twice in a single generation, sometimes not even happening.

Ikumi, the boy's mother, was thrilled to have a genius in her family and anticipated great rewards during the next thinning process.

However, Ikumi suddenly received an invitation to a tea party from a friend from the great continents and took the boy with her.

When the tea party turned into a drinking party, she forgot about him while returning to Kokoro Island. By the time the thought finally reached her mind, she had already returned home and assumed the boy had perished along the way.
