After a month, Yin Kai's bitter cultivation finally reached the peak of the Qi Transformation Realm.
He petitioned the Elder Hall and notified them of his intention to break through. To advance, he need to create a "seed" between his eyebrows. This seed would link through spiritual meridians to his dantian and greatly strengthen his spiritual qi.
Yin Kai began to condense the Ancenstral Poison Rebirth qi stored in his dantian. After condensing his stored qi to the limit, he let the remainder of his qi fill once again.
He then began to repeat the process.
Yin Kai was able to condense his qi ball 27 times before it matched the size of his dantian.
Once if was full, Yin Kai began to spin the qi ball. As it spun, it began to shrink. Once it reached a third of its original size, Yin Kai sent it upwards towards his the space between his eyebrows.
The spinning qi ball left his dantian and travelled slowly up his spine.
There was no room for error- if he lost control, he could lose his entire cultivation.
The ball of qi continued to rise as a line of sweat fell from his brow. In a state of sheer concentration, Yin Kai didn't falter.
Instead, the ball continued spinning in its place, moving upwards at a fraction of an inch per incense stick.
During this process, the sun fell and rose again three time before it reached the top of his nose.
As Yin Kai finalized the process, the qi ball finally reached the space between his eyebrows. Yin Kai let the ball connect in place.
Like a magnet, the qi ball 'clicked' into place within his eyebrows. The seed was formed. Now all Yin Kai had to do was spin it in reverse.
As he began to spin the qi ball, a whirpool began to form between his eyes.
Simultaneously, a whirlpool formed around his dantian going the opposite direction. A small outer "skin" began to form around the gland between his eyes.
After an hour, Yin Kai felt himself stabilize. Early Stage, Qi Fusion!
Yin Kai stepped into the afternoon sun. Su Ling had been helping him with his chicken keeping duties.
The last two months had been plentiful. During this time, Bae Re had finally subdued the Speedfoot Hen. Initially, the hen was able to run away from him.
However, the moment she gave in, she kept coming back.
The Firefeather roosters seemed to love the firetail hen. After a month and a half, a baby rooster with both traits was born.
The poison-tail rooster finally had a poison-tail daughter.
Unfortunately, no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't get the Big-Eye Rooster to mate. It would just stand there, chin up, staring at the sky.
With his list triple and quadruple checked, he now had the following list of chickens:
Spirit Hens:
1 Firetail
1 Speedfoot
1 Infernal
1 Poison Tail
Spirit Roosters:
1 Bigeye
1 Poison Tail
2 Fire Feather
1 Firefeather-Firetail
He was midway through calculating his future plans when he noticed someone at his gate.
"Bu Tan." The tanned bodyguard was standing tall near the entrance to his small pagoda. The man cupped his hands.
"Yin Kai. Princess Su Li wishes to speak with you. If you'll follow." He waved his hands forward in a gesture of respect.
Yin Kai showed the proper formalities in return. "If it pleases the princess."
Bu Tan pulled out a beige ruler. As he put his qi inside the ruler, the ruler began to change shape until it became a foot thick and nearly three yards in length.
After gesturing to the ruler, the two stepped on it. The flight artifact carried them through the hills until they reached the Bazaar. The artifact continued to guide them above the city until they reached a small villa on a hill.
Yin Kai and Bu Tan stepped off the ruler. It gradually shrunk until it was the size of a fist, and then Bu Tan stored it in his spatial ring.
The villa was white with a large, bue stripe circling the bottom level. An orange set of roof tiles lay between the first and second levels. Another set adorned the top of the villa in a lavish fashion.
The villa overlooked the winding curves of the Blood River.
The Bazaar was a large city set upon the center of the northern continent. On the west lie the Alliance, and the east the Holy Land.
Down the center of both lands, a large, winding river rushed until it eventually passed through the city. When the two factions fought, the water would stain with the blood of both sides.
As of now, it was shimmering blue.
Due to the winding nature and years of flooding, several islands were naturally created aside the bank.
To beautify the Bazaar, Flower Garden posted large gardens upon them.
The small villa, albeit its small size, had one of the best views the city could offer.
Bu Tan gestured for Yin Kai to walk in first. He obliged.
Yin Kai walked with an imperial stride. When meeting one of high status, one must always act official.
