C38 - A New Wife

As Gu Bing got her bearings in the mansion, Yin Kai teleported to the library and began to start memorizing the various bestiaries and encyclopaedias.

After an hour or so, she started to walk towards the front of the manor to find him. Yin Kai once again used Phoebe's power as the world spirit to teleport to one of the garden's open benches.

He held out his finger and Phoebe landed on it. As Gu Bing got within eyesight, Phoebe flittered away into the sky.

Yin Kai stood and greeted her. "Gu Bing."

Gu Bing stood and thought for a few moments. "You know… On the Island of Rebirth, and at the entrance to this space… I was only trying to get revenge for my brother. Yin Kai, have you forgiven me?"

"Gu Bing," he said, enunciated her name clearly, "Look into my eyes."

Her startled face looked up as her cheeks blushed. Their eyes met.

"Gu Bing," he said, grabbing her shoulders, "The moment you became my woman, I became your man. As long as you can hold it in your heart to love me, I will go to the ends of the earth for you."

"Gu Bing," he added, grabbing and rubbing one of her hands, "Will you take in this view with me?"

She nodded shyly and squeezed his hand. Slowly, he gently pulled her around towards the rose garden.

As they walked through the garden, they spoke of life in their respective sects.

He told her of his life as a cripple, and how his family treated him. How he managed to win every fight in his sect, starting from being a cripple. How he eventually ate a mysterious pill that cleansed his body and allowed him to cultivate.

She told him of her life in the Gu family. How, as the oldest sibling, she had faced immense pressure to marry. How a wandering cultivator noticed her and asked her to join the Frozen Sea Palace. How she rose to become the young sect leader.

The two smiled. They were both being honest with each other, and they could feel it in their hearts.

As they continued their path through the gardens, Yin Kai realized he could trust her. He couldn't trust her with everything yet, but she truly was a loyal woman.

Grabbing her waist, he then spoke about his time in the poison alchemist's cave, and how he planned to become an alchemist. He told her about the rebirth cave, and the different types of rebirth methods.

As they walked back inside, he told her that he had inherited the mansion, and gave her her own room, as well as the Thawing Crystal Rebirth Art to study.

As they entered the room, she sat on the edge of the bed and began to remove her jewelry.

"I'll be honest." He added, "I do, very much so, want to spend more time next to you. I don't want to wait, but I also want to let you choose me first. I'll be in the room across the hall if you decide to spend some time in my company."

"Wait!"

Her cheeks blushed as she fumbled for the words. Patting her bed, she managed to say something. "Come."

Yin Kai sat next to her and looked in her bright blue eyes.

"Take me." She said softly, almost silent. She fingered the part of her dress in between her legs as shw lowered the strap of her dress.

"As you have asked," Yin Kai said, fully freeing her visible mountains, "So shall it be."

Kissing her ear, he began to travel his mouth along her body. This time, as he began to satisfy her, he knew in his heart: it was real.

They spent several weeks blissfully inside the mansion. Eventually, Guo Bing asked the preeminent question: "When are you going to let me out?"

"When do you need to leave?" He coyly replied, expressing his desire for her to stay.

She hit his chest. "We have to leave sometime, don't we?"

"Mm." He grunted, understanding her train of thought. "Can I visit you?"

She smirked and slipped a token from her life ring. "Present this to any member of Frozen Sea Palace, and they will let you pass on my behalf."

"I'll see you, then." He smiled once again, directly gazing into the deep blue of her eyes.

The two basked in the moment for a bit before Yin Kai summoned Phoebe. After kissing her deeply on her forehead, he added, "Phoebe, let her out."

As Gu Bing teleported out, he only knew that he missed her.

She only knew that her right 'moon' was in shock. 'Bastard.'
