Nan Qiao had to go out again in the evening, so she called Li Yehan.
He picked up quickly, as if he had been waiting for her call.
Nan Qiao teased, "Li Yehan, you weren't possibly waiting for me to call you, were you?"
"Qiaoqiao, you're so smart. I was indeed waiting for you. If you hadn't called soon, I couldn't have resisted contacting you first."
Nan Qiao smiled warmly, her eyes soft.
She leaned against the chair back, relaxed, resembling a young girl experiencing her first crush.
"Li Yehan, I can't have dinner with you tonight, I have things to handle. How about tomorrow, I'll treat you to a meal then?"
"Qiaoqiao, you seem busy every day, even busier than me," Li Yehan said, his eyes somewhat sorrowful.
He wanted to meet Nan Qiao every day, to have meals with her every day.
"Today is a special case. Tomorrow morning, I'll accompany you for breakfast. How about that?"
Nan Qiao's voice was sweet and gentle, hard to refuse, fearing it might upset her.
