Li Xia arrived at Mo Shaolin's home, holding a cake in her hand.
"Ah Lin, I bought you a cake, I have to go out tomorrow, so I won't be able to celebrate your birthday with you."
Mo Shaolin, excitedly looking at the cake and then at Li Xia's sweet face, smiled widely, "Xiaxia, you still remember that tomorrow is my birthday, I thought you had forgotten."
"How could I forget, Ah Lin, you are very important to me, I won't forget your birthday."
Mo Shaolin gazed at Li Xia with indulgent eyes, growing fonder the more he looked.
"Xiaxia, thank you. Stay for dinner tonight, I'll have the kitchen make your favorite dishes."
Faced with Mo Shaolin's enthusiasm, Li Xia refused, "I still need to go home and pack, I won't be having dinner here."
"Then I'll take you home." Mo Shaolin picked up the car keys from the table.
Li Xia laughed it off, "No need, I drove here, I'll drive back myself."
After Li Xia left, Mo Shaolin walked her to the door and watched her drive away.
