Li Xia stood beside Mo Shaolin, oblivious as her ice cream melted in her hand.
Mo Shaolin handed a tissue to Li Xia: "Xiaxia, the ice cream is dripping onto your hand."
Li Xia snapped back to reality and noticed.
She took the tissue, and Mo Shaolin took the ice cream, wrapping the bottom with paper.
Li Xia's hands felt sticky and it annoyed her greatly.
"Brother Shaolin, I'm going to wash my hands."
Li Xia walked into the nearby café to use the restroom.
Mo Shaolin looked at Li Xia's dispirited appearance with heartache and wished he could take on some of her distress.
His phone rang at that moment, and Mo Shaolin saw the familiar number. It was Huo Siyu calling.
After some thought, Mo Shaolin still chose not to answer.
Li Xia had accepted him, wanting to try dating him. Mo Shaolin steeled his heart to cut ties with Huo Siyu once and for all.
When Mo Shaolin didn't pick up, the phone rang again.
