Nan Qiao looked at Dong Qingqing with a smile so wide it made Dong Qingqing even more nervous.
Right at that moment, Li Xia walked in.
Li Xia took a seat and smiled faintly, "Nan Qiao, Qingqing, what are you two chatting about? Looks like the atmosphere is a bit off, doesn't it?"
Nan Qiao turned to Li Xia and spoke deliberately, one word at a time, "Dong Qingqing was just saying you're kind of an idiot, that you don't look as good as me, don't have my medical skills, and your legs aren't as long as mine."
Dong Qingqing: "Nan Qiao, you're lying!"
Li Xia's expression faltered for a brief moment, but she quickly composed herself and managed a calm smile.
Nan Qiao grinned, her eyes sparkling, "Dong Qingqing, if you have the nerve to talk smack about Li Xia, why don't you have the guts to own up to it?"
Dong Qingqing tried to defend herself, "Nan Qiao, stop slandering me! Li Xia and I are good friends—I would never say something like that about her!"
