Xia Zhi sprinted out of the office building and joyfully ran toward his car.
Seating herself in the passenger seat, she couldn't help but smile at him.
Her hair was tousled by the wind from her little run, and He Jinnan gently smiled as he reached over to tuck a stray lock behind her ear, teasing her as he said, "Wife, you're that eager to see me, huh?"
With a spoiled pout, Xia Zhi glared at him, "Go ahead, tease me with your words."
"I wouldn't dare, I wouldn't dare," laughed He Jinnan, while presenting her with the pan-fried buns and milk tea as if offering treasures, "You've been busy all morning, you must be starving. Here, I bought you some pan-fried buns, eat up."
"Have you eaten?" Xia Zhi asked with concern, "You went out of your way to buy this for me; you haven't had lunch yet, have you?"
He Jinnan replied, "I'll eat when we get back."
