Chapter 72: A Small Token of Appreciation

"When will I be able to leave the hospital? It's so inconvenient living here," Xia Zhi asked, irritated by the lack of a nurse, and thus unable to bathe.

He Jinnan, as if he knew what she was thinking, gently persuaded her, "Hang in there for a few more days, the doctor said you showed signs of a threatened miscarriage. Let's stabilize first before we leave the hospital."

It was then that Xia Zhi began to recall her previous menstrual issues—it wasn't that her flow was light, she had actually been bleeding. If she had been more attentive, she wouldn't be facing this situation today.

After washing up, the two of them went to the obstetrics department.

A series of tests including bloodwork, urine analysis, and an ultrasound showed that Xia Zhi was healthy, and so was the baby inside her.

"Doctor, there was a bit of bleeding earlier, is that okay?" He Jinnan asked worriedly.
