He Jinnan had just left Su's Film and gotten into his car when he received a call from Song Wanyi.

"Do you like the necklace?" he asked directly.

Song Wanyi paused briefly on the phone, "Jinnan, why did you send me a necklace?"

"I went on a business trip to Di Du City, and I saw DK's new product, which isn't available in Hai City yet, so I bought it for you to wear first," he explained nonchalantly.

Song Wanyi, confused, asked, "Jinnan, are you sure you didn't send it by mistake? Wasn't it supposed to be for Xia Zhi?"

"Have you had lunch yet?" He Jinnan didn't answer her question but asked instead.

"Not yet, I don't have an appetite because of the heat."

He Jinnan, sensing the listlessness in her tone, told her, "I've booked a place at Lv Tang. Come over now."

"Are you inviting me to lunch?" Song Wanyi asked, even more surprised.

Since their falling out, when had he ever been so gentle and kind to her? It was as if he had returned to his old self.
