Zhenzhu and Hai Sheng cleaned up the restaurant kitchen and walked out together.

He Jiarui said, "Later, Brother Chen will go with us to watch the fireworks."

"Alright," Zhenzhu said with a reserved smile.

Gu Chen glanced at the time and said, "Then let's head out now. It's sure to be crowded tonight, and I'll take you all to explore other places too."

He Jiarui told Hai Sheng, "Go, put your coat on."

Zhenzhu looked at Xia Zhi and said, "Sister-in-law, you're not coming with us, are you? You still have to stay home to watch over Xuanzai."

"Go ahead and enjoy yourselves," Xia Zhi replied. She wasn't too interested in joining the bustle anyway. Without He Jinnan, nothing seemed to lift her spirits.

In no time, they put on their coats and stepped out of the house.

Holding Xuanzai, Xia Zhi said somewhat forlornly, "Son, it's just the two of us at home."

With the house so quiet, she turned on the TV to fill the space with some lively sound.
