Faced with Jiang Yining's questioning, Jinxing found himself speechless.
After a long pause, he finally said, "Miss Jiang, I'm not trying to provoke you. It's just out of friendship; I don't want to see you being deceived."
Jiang Yining let out a frustrated breath. "Enough, stop harping on about worrying I'll be deceived. Whatever I am, it's none of your business!"
"Get out of the car." She said coldly.
Jinxing saw that things had come to this point, and saying more would be pointless. He gave her a long, deep look before getting out of the car.
Jiang Yining forced herself not to look at him, keeping a façade of nonchalance on her face. Only when his car drove away did her tense nerves suddenly crumble, and her body softened helplessly.
She called the driver to come back, then drove towards home.
At home, Father Jiang hadn't gone to bed yet. She wasn't sure if he was waiting for her return.
