Chapter 14 Nora Hart Grasping His Tie and Capturing His Lips

Joe Faulkner washed the cup clean and poured a glass of water for Nora Hart.

He pulled out a chair and sat down in front of her, proper and upright: "I don't know whether to say you're lucky or just plain unlucky. To call you lucky, this is already your third visit this week. To call you unlucky, the people chasing after you always end up caught by us."

"Seriously, you're almost like the mascot of my team. Those in the know understand your misfortune, but those who don't think you're here to boost my performance because of our alumni connection."

Nora Hart: ......."Joe Faulkner, do you know why I dislike you?"

"Why?"

"Because your mouth doesn't deserve your face."

A righteous face paired with a just too shoddy mouth, really makes one want to smack it a couple of times.

Joe Faulkner couldn't care less, hands crossed behind his head, he looked at Nora Hart languidly: "Say what you will, I don't mind."
