Someone in the crowd saw this scene and exclaimed in shock.
The scene was chaotic.
"Vincent Lane," Andrew Locke's languid body suddenly tensed up.
He quickly walked over and pulled up Nora Hart, who was slumping to the ground, protecting her to the side.
Vincent Lane chased in the direction the arrow came from with his men.
Nora Hart was half-hidden behind Andrew, trembling with fear.
She reached out to grab the hem of Andrew's suit in the chaos.
The man stood in front of her, sensed her action, and grabbed her palm, shielding everyone's eyes with his broad back.
"Andrew Locke, I was almost on my way to see my great-grandmother..."
Nora Hart spoke, her voice trembling, and tugged at his suit.
"Nonsense," the man chided her gently.
Clearly, he was also startled by the scene: "A scourge lasts a thousand years, don't worry!"
"If I died, wouldn't you be happy? The huge inheritance left by my father, it would all be yours!"
