Chapter 116 I am Her Husband

Wen Zhan followed behind, clutching his wailing daughter, as he emerged from the bathroom.

His mind was in such disarray he had forgotten to comfort the child until Mu Wanqing hurriedly slipped into her pajamas and came out from the changing room. Only then did he slowly come back to his senses, redirecting his gaze toward her.

Without time to dry her hair, Mu Wanqing stepped forward and scooped the child from the man's arms.

With his arms now empty and the crying receding, Wen Zhan fully regained his composure. He awkwardly inserted his hands into his pockets and cleared his throat lightly.

Mu Wanqing dared not look at him nor ponder what fantasies might be running through his mind—she simply carried her daughter away, hastily attempting to soothe her.

Once she had started feeding the little girl and the crying had subsided, Wen Zhan slowly followed behind her.

"You... haven't dried your hair," his hoarse voice awkwardly broke the silence.
