Chapter 28: Catching Snakes on Snake Mountain

An City's Snake Mountain got its name because the continuous mountain range resembled the body of a snake, the peak like a snake's open mouth, hissing and spitting venom.

Aside from its serpent-like shape, what was more magical was that the mountain hosted a variety of snake species.

Normally, due to different climatic temperatures, some places were home to snakes that could only adapt to those particular climates.

Yet, Snake Mountain was able to sustain a variety of distinct snakes, experts attributed this to a special substance beneath Snake Mountain.

It provided ample nutrients for snakes, enabling the congregation of different species from various places in this one area of Snake Mountain.

Because of the many venomous snakes, people living around Snake Mountain had all moved away, turning the remote area into a place of danger in the public's eye, often used by adults as an excuse to discipline their children.
