Chapter 267: The Task Given by My Son

Hope still cried, her sobbing intense, unable to speak.

Amelia Garcia patiently soothed her for a while, waiting until her emotions stabilized before asking again.

Only then did Hope, with a hoarse voice, say, "Daddy... Daddy isn't going to get better... He can't come to take me home, this is Mommy and brother's home... I made brother angry, and then..."

The little girl didn't finish her sentence, but Amelia understood completely.

Indeed, Hope was too sensitive!

These days at home, whether she talked to Aunt Harper or made phone calls to discuss with others, she had mentioned Christopher's condition, more or less.

She thought since the eldest son was mature for his age, he was likely listening to her, while Hope and Noah, being naive, probably didn't know anything.

But she was mistaken.

It turned out Hope had heard everything and imagined much more.

She actually thought this was Mommy and brothers' home, feeling herself an outsider.
