"Richard, how did you come to be in the hospital?" Sienna Summers asked.

"Grandfather called me with the news, so I came over," Jasper Brown's handsome face was without any ripples of emotion.

"Then I must be holding you up from work, aren't I? You should hurry back and assist Director Brown with his tasks," Sienna Summers said with a face full of apologies.

"It's fine, there's no rush."

Jacob Brown interjected, "Richard, didn't you say you were here to visit your mother-in-law? Go on and accompany your sister-in-law to see her."

Jasper Brown glanced at him, his gaze somewhat cold.

Jacob Brown was confounded, his face filled with confusion.

Hadn't he been striving to give Richard presence everywhere, what had he done wrong?

At that moment, his phone rang. After excusing himself to the two of them, he went off to take the call.

"Is your mother-in-law in that room?" Jasper Brown inquired.

"Uh-huh."

"Let's go."

Jasper Brown stepped towards the sickroom.
