Chapter 58: Who Gave Them the Courage

Jasper Brown glanced at Victor Lennox, his expression softened somewhat.

"Mia getting sick is due to her weak constitution, you don't need to take the blame."

If he were to blame anyone, he would only blame his own grandfather, Elder Brown, for not taking good enough care of Mia.

Although Victor Lennox was the grandson of the butler, he was not a servant of the Brown Family and had no obligation to take care of Mia.

"It's not that, Mia had a fever, and I am responsible," Victor Lennox said.

Jasper Brown looked at him, waiting for him to continue.

Victor Lennox continued, "Mia had a conflict with Hazel Howard from next door in the evening; Mia was pushed and might have gotten scared, and that's why she developed a fever."

Mia was pushed by someone?

Jasper Brown's narrow eyes narrowed, "Why would Mia get into a conflict with someone?"

"Because of me."

Victor Lennox hung his head low, feeling somewhat guilty.
