Chapter 67: Strange Occurrences from the Past

Jasper Brown's eyes shifted slightly, naturally he couldn't say the money was his own.

After all, he was just a junior assistant who couldn't afford to buy a house, where could he get so much money?

"I borrowed it from Director Brown."

Hearing this answer, Sienna Summers believed it.

After all, in a matter of life and death, her husband borrowing money from Jacob Brown, Jacob certainly wouldn't hesitate to lend it.

She was thinking about something else.

"Did you call the police?"

Such a large sum of money, if it were simply given to the kidnappers, she would be infuriated!

"Don't worry, I've already reported it, you don't need to worry about this matter, I'll handle it myself."

He said this, and Sienna's heart settled a bit.

As long as they could catch the kidnapper, surely they could recover some of the money.

But...

"Can the police catch the kidnapper?"

"They can."

Jasper Brown looked stern, his expression resolute, making one intuitively want to believe him.
