"What should we do, then? The person who damaged it should pay, of course!"
Delilah Hughes glared at Naomi Jefferson and scolded her.
Naomi snapped out of it, her face turning pale.
Was she expected to compensate for a necklace that cost over three hundred thousand?
But she hadn't broken the necklace!
It was so unfair!
As she thought about how she had just been helping Delilah put on the necklace, she distinctly felt someone tugging at it.
And the person who tugged at the necklace was...
Naomi looked towards Delilah, "It wasn't me who broke it, Miss Hughes, just now it was you—"
Slap!
Delilah struck her across the face.
Naomi hadn't even finished her sentence when she was unexpectedly hit, falling down to the ground.
Delilah looked down on her, "What were you going to say? Were you going to say that I broke the necklace and framed you? What are you worth that I would bother to frame you?"
Naomi's cheek stung fiercely.
She clutched her face, panicked and furious.
