It was past eleven at night when Jasper Brown got home.
"Honey, are the kids okay?"
Sienna Summers met his concerned gaze and thought of the photos Charlotte Zimmerman sent. She lowered her eyes slightly.
"They're fine, they're all asleep."
Seeing her expression was a bit off, Jasper Brown reached out and pulled her into his arms, speaking softly, "Did today scare you?"
"Yes."
Jasper Brown held her tightly and kissed her gently on the forehead.
"Don't be afraid, your husband is home now."
Sienna Summers pouted and pushed him away.
"Don't hug me with the same arms you've hugged other women."
Jasper Brown's brow involuntarily furrowed, "When did I ever hug..."
He trailed off halfway, suddenly thinking of something, his dark eyes narrowing slightly.
His dear wife wouldn't say such things without reason.
Could it be that she heard something or saw something?
