Edward Harper tossed the car keys onto the coffee table, sprawled himself on the couch with his legs wide open, his face clouded with gloom.
"That crazy woman downstairs threw paint all over Aria."
He finished speaking and looked at Clara Knox with disgust, "Can't you even stand your own sister?"
The words "own sister" made Clara sick. What kind of sister was Aria Knight? Whether it was her original family or her current small family, Aria Knight had always been a tumor growing within it.
Her mother took Brandon Knight away, intruding on her original family, and the man she loved and protected for three years was divorcing her for Aria.
To say she didn't hate was a lie.
The man before her was evidently fooled by Aria's performance, believing they shared deep sisterly bonds, not realizing Aria was the root of her suffering—how could there be any sisterly affection?
