Chapter 17 Aren't You Urging Me to Divorce Anymore?

Edward Harper stared intently at the gentle woman in his arms, desire rising in his eyes. His large hand gently slid across Aria Knight's cheek.

"You're not pushing me to divorce anymore?"

Aria was stunned for a few seconds, realizing he mistook her for Clara Knox. That bitch!

She thought Edward was finally ready to truly accept her, like a grown man desiring the woman he loves. Elated, she was ready to give herself fully, only for reality to pour a cold bucket of water over her head at the height of her emotions.

She felt heartbroken for a moment before calming down.

Edward held her face and gave her light pecks, but after a few kisses, he realized the woman in his arms had no reaction, just staring at him with a wronged expression in her eyes.

He instantly lost interest.

"Three years, and you're still like a block of wood."

He complained with disdain.

Aria helped him back to the master bedroom.

The room was quiet, lit only by a dim floor lamp.
