The moment she opened the door and saw who was standing outside, her face changed dramatically.
"Liam, why is it you?"
Edward Harper strode inside. "Who else would it be?"
Aria Knight said nothing, but Edward noticed her tension.
She adjusted her nightgown to cover the red marks on her chest, made by that madman last night. She was afraid Edward would misunderstand.
These subtle movements didn't escape Edward's eyes.
"That man, you won't be seeing him again," he stated.
Aria suddenly felt her scalp go numb. "Which man?"
She wasn't sure what Edward knew. She had always been careful, usually calling that man over late at night or early in the morning. Had she been found out?
Edward didn't respond to her comment. He walked directly to the door, recorded his fingerprint in the lock, and changed the password back to the original one.
"The password isn't allowed to change again!"
His tone was almost commanding.
Aria was so frightened she didn't dare speak.
