Chapter 21 Children are Innocent

"I heard Grandpa's health isn't well, so I came to check on him." Aria walked in with an elegant makeup clearly applied beforehand. She carried a basket of fruit and, seeing that Clara opened the door, pushed past her into the hospital room without another word.

The previously warm atmosphere became tense.

Edward Harper felt guilty and glanced back at his grandfather before taking the fruit from Aria and trying to usher her out.

"What are you doing here?"

He frowned, clearly displeased. Grandpa had been hospitalized because of her aggravation. He had just managed to smooth things over, and now this woman was causing trouble again—all his efforts yesterday wasted.

Aria realized she had crossed a line and, her eyes sparkling, looked aggrieved.

"I'm just worried about Grandpa, why are you so harsh?"

"Edward, let her come in."
