Aria let out a light scoff,
"Don't worry, I'll give it to you, a worthless necklace that no one would bother picking up off the street. Only you treat it like a treasure."
"Aria, I'm warning you once, my mom is my bottom line. If you dare say one more thing about her or her belongings, don't blame me for being rude."
Aria seemed to hear a joke and couldn't help but laugh. Clara Knox, in her mind, was just an easy target.
"You think I'm scared of you?"
Clara looked up and saw Edward Harper walking out of the hall. Aria also noticed his approach and immediately put on a beaming smile, wrapping her hands intimately around Clara's arm,
"Sis, my birthday wish this year is for you to celebrate with me just once. Please grant me that!"
Edward strode over with long steps,
"What are you doing here? It's time to cut the cake."
Aria freed one hand to wrap around Edward's arm while keeping hold of Clara. From a distance, it looked like the three were a close family.
