Aria's eyes curved as she asked Clara,
"Sis, I need to discuss something privately with Edward. Could you give us some space?"
Clara didn't say anything, just lifted her head to look at Edward Harper. Aria wanted to talk to him privately, and while everyone knew Clara was Mrs. Harper, she wanted to see his attitude.
In a second, a few women's gazes focused on Edward Harper.
The next second, Edward glanced at Clara. His look was as ordinary as eating or drinking, but for Clara, it was a stormy sea. Without him saying a word, she already knew the answer.
Wherever, whenever, choosing Aria was his habit, just like eating or drinking.
"Clara, you..."
Clara gave a bitter smile and interrupted his words,
"Talk, I'll go grab something to eat."
Clara turned and left, her heart bitter and uncomfortable. She hadn't walked far when Bella Harper caught up,
"Clara Knox."
She shouted from behind.
Clara didn't turn her head and asked, "What do you want?"
