Chapter 154 Ex-husband

Clara Knox finally relaxed once she was inside the elevator.

She indeed felt she had overreached; five percent of Harper Jewelry's shares was no small amount. When she initially proposed this condition, it was partly out of anger and partly because she didn't believe Edward Harper would agree.

Even if he was willing to give them, he would likely negotiate, she thought; never did she imagine he would actually offer five percent of the original shares as a divorce settlement.

This also made her realize Aria Knight's significance to him. To fulfill Aria Knight, he was willing to give up a quarter of his assets, so decisively, without a word of bargain.

Clara withdrew her hand from his grasp and asked, looking at his reflection in the elevator mirror,

"Do you want to reconsider?"

Edward Harper was looking ahead, facing her through the mirror,

"Take them if I'm giving them to you. If these get torn, I'll have Liam Johnson send over a new set for you to sign."
