Clara Knox heard the answer she wanted, and her mood relaxed.
The car drove directly back to the Harper Building's underground parking lot. Since the last time the two appeared in public, the company employees had numerous speculations about their relationship, most of which were blessings.
Edward Harper didn't confirm or deny the rumors, just tacitly agreed.
There was no longer any need to hide now. After exiting the car, Edward Harper took the suitcase from Liam Johnson and went upstairs with Clara Knox, instructing Liam to return to Brocade Garden with the luggage since the seafood in the car could not spoil.
The elevator went straight to the top floor. When the doors opened, the HR manager was already standing outside, holding a newly drafted contract.
"Director Harper, ma'am... shall we sign this contract now?"
Edward Harper froze for a few seconds at the word "ma'am," and Manager Zhou quickly corrected himself,
"Should we sign Clara Knox's contract now?"
