Edward Harper had been busy at the company until very late. When he finally felt hungry, the neon lights outside the Harper Building were already lit.
The dinner Liam Johnson had sent to him was sitting on the small dining table, already cold. He had no appetite, his mind was a mess.
Aria Knight called again, saying she had booked a wedding dress appointment and wanted him to go with her to try it on tomorrow. He didn't know how to respond, afraid for her life, yet equally afraid of her living.
Whether she lived or died, she would make sure he didn't have it easy.
The housekeeper said that Mrs. Knox had been waiting for him to have dinner. Only then did he turn off the lights and drive home.
