Clara Knox returned to her place to change clothes, then headed out again to the suburban mausoleum.
She had only heard from David Montgomery that Autumn Knox's grave had been repaired; she felt uneasy without seeing it with her own eyes.
In the cab, her heart was heavy. Even though she had taken her measures to retaliate against Aria and her mother for their madness against Autumn Knox, she still felt she had let her mother down.
She felt that she had implicated her mother, causing her to suffer such humiliation. If it weren't for a man, she wouldn't have angered that pair of crazy mother and daughter.
The car stopped outside the mausoleum. She told the driver to wait for a while, as it would be hard to find a cab later.
She got out and walked straight to the entrance. A man in uniform from the security booth came out to greet her. Clara had become a familiar face in the security guard's eyes, having visited often recently.
"Miss Knox, I'll accompany you."
