The sound of knocking on the door echoed, bringing Clara Knox back to her senses as she went to open it.
Outside, Edward Harper stood in a crisp suit, followed by Liam Johnson and a few movers.
"Clara, we're here to help you move," he said.
He led the way inside, and the others followed him in.
Liam directed a few people to pack up the house and move things, while Edward took Clara downstairs and helped her into the car.
Clara had never visited the new villa her grandfather bought for her, so she gazed out the window while the car drove back.
This area was indeed as her grandfather described, with ample greenery and refreshing air, perfect for her to nurture her pregnancy.
The villa was much larger than Brocade Garden, and the hired aunt and nutritionist were already tidying up inside. As soon as the owners arrived, they stood in two rows to greet them,
"Director Harper, Madam."
