"Pretty sister, I'm here to see your president,"
The receptionist was startled by the little one's tone. Meeting the president wasn't something just anyone could do; seeing Director Harper required making an appointment at least three days ahead.
She looked around and saw that this adorable little tot was standing there all by himself, piquing her curiosity.
"Little one, why do you want to see our president? Director Harper is very busy, you know~"
Max Knox said bluntly,
"I have something important to ask him."
He wanted to know why his mom and dad didn't live together. Daisy's parents lived in the same house and often picked her up from school.
He, too, wanted his mom and dad to pick him and his sister up from kindergarten together.
In his little mind, he wondered if Dad didn't want Mom, his sister, and him, which was why Mom took them to live in Sea City. If that were true, he wouldn't care about having a dad like that anymore.
